After a Long Month of Reviewing Cheesy Low-Budget Movies in May, I’m Going to Switch Gears in June and Pay It Forward!
Taking on the personal challenge of reviewing movies, offering commentary, and finally writing an entire film script for my month long tribute to Full Moon Features was a fun, rewarding, and exhausting exercise (which you can read all about by clicking HERE). It was hard to find the time to squeeze the time in to watch all of those movies (I did 18 total film reviews), and write, and maintain a work/life balance. The good news? I did it and I survived! The bad news? I’m a tad tapped out. So for the month of June I’m going to take it easy and do weekly focuses as opposed to a full month long marathon again. Don’t get me wrong, I loved promoting Full Moon the way I did, and it did wonders for the viewership on this blog, however; for the sake of my sanity – I’m going to keep it simple.
Here’s the Plan:
- First Week of June: This week I will be focusing on some personal friends of mine who have put some exciting projects out there for you to enjoy. This is some really cool stuff from some exceptionally cool guys.
- Second Week of June: Sounds like a great week to put a spotlight on some smaller independent music acts, and/or other bands who have returned after a long hiatus. There’s so much great music out there, and it’s hard to keep up with all of it. I’m going to add more “must have” music to your collection.
- Third Week of June: E3 will be upon us, and as such I will recommend some often overlooked video game gems, as well as offer some colorful commentary about E3 2016. E3 can be a bit of a mixed bag, so I’m curious to see how things shake out for Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, and the game developers from around the world. Should be a lot of fun.
- Fourth Week of June: I will be bringing you a whole weeks worth of Best Movies that You’ve Never Heard Of. Previous movies covered have included Tape Heads, Hysteria, Netherbeast Incorporated, Clean Slate, and many, many more. I’m gonna pick some true diamonds in the rough. You’re not going to want to miss it.
- Fifth Week of June: I’m going to unleash a weeks worth of new creative writing projects to help cap the month off in my own bizarre and beautiful way. Diabetic Dracula will return for sure, The Short Short Short Story will get a little longer, and there may be a few new surprises as well. If you love wildly creative tales, be sure to check these out at the end of the month.
There you have it. Get ready June, because I’m about to Pay It Forward in a big way! HUGE WAY! I’m going to spread the word about some truly talented creatives. It’ll be great.
